Local Area
Lake Catherine sits in the peaceful village of Pernant in the Aisne department, Hauts-de-France. The venue itself is quiet, rural and completely private, but you're never far from civilisation when you need to restock.
The nearby town of Soissons is a five-minute drive and has everything a UK angling group could need: multiple supermarkets (including Lidl, E.Leclerc and Cora (the biggest in the area), restaurants, bars, a petrol station and a full Decathlon store for any tackle or kit you've forgotten.
One practical note: most French shops close between 12pm and 2pm for lunch, and many close all day Sunday. Plan your supply run for a weekday morning to avoid any issues.
